2015 British Grand Prix Weekend Report

The Silverstone circuit in Great Britain hosted round nine of the 2015 Formula 1 season.

It was the track's 51st appearance on the F1 calendar and the 66th British Grand Prix. The race followed an intriguing Austrian Grand Prix - won by Nico Rosberg - and test at the Red Bull Ring.

F1 Flashback - Track invasion at Silverstone

Nigel Mansell’s 1992 victory at Silverstone was the 28th of his career, meaning he moved ahead of Jackie Stewart to become the most successful British driver at the time.

After taking pole position, he led from start to finish, won the race and set the fastest lap. Riccardo Patrese and Martin Brundle completed the top three. The crowd famously invaded the track in celebration and marshals had to help the Williams driver back for the podium ceremony.

2015 British Grand Prix Preview

The ninth round of the 2015 Formula 1 season takes place at the home of British motorsport, Silverstone.

The challenging track hosts the 66th British Grand Prix and make its 51st appearance on the F1 calendar. The race follows an intriguing Austrian Grand Prix and in-season test at the Red Bull Ring.

Horner confirms Red Bull contract extension

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner has confirmed that he has signed a contract extension with the Milton Keynes-based outfit.

Rumours after the Austrian Grand Prix said that a rival team principal had phoned Horner to "commiserate" him on his exit from Red Bull.
